Glasgow Half Marathon Well done and A BIG THANK YOU to Martin Gillespie for running in the Glasgow Half Marathon in aid of the SBCC. The children and volunteers express their gratidude to Martin and all who kindly sponsored him.

August 2009 Mark awarded BAA I-Volunteer 'Shining Star' Award. Our chairman Mark receieved the Shining Star award and a cheque fo £5,000 at the 2009 award ceramony at Heathrow's Terminal 5. The award is presented to someone who has made a significant difference to the lives of people through their charitable work, and for the BAA Communities Trust panel, Mark's was one nomination that really stood out.  August 2009 'Mark joins top national charity' Our chairman Mark has been appointed to the board of a national charity - The Children's Safety Education Foundation. As a member of the CSEF's board of trustees he will share responibility for agreeing policies and endorsing development and implementation plans, which include regulations, administrative and financial affairs as well as resource requirements.
